Quaniq is a static publication focused on quantum computing and AI. We believe in high-fidelity signal and zero noise — this extends to how we handle data. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we use privacy-first tools for everything we do.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

• Email address: Only collected if you explicitly subscribe to the Quaniq Weekly newsletter.
• Anonymous page view data: Collected via Umami analytics. No IP addresses are stored, no device fingerprinting is used, and no tracking cookies are set.
• No accounts: We do not ask for any passwords or require logins.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• Email: Exclusively to send the Quaniq Weekly newsletter. Nothing else.
• Analytics: Exclusively to understand which topics readers find useful (in aggregate only) to guide future technical writing.

3. NEWSLETTER

• Our newsletter delivery is powered by Resend.
• You can unsubscribe completely at any time via the clearly marked link at the bottom of every email.
• We do not, and will never, share your email address with third parties.

4. ANALYTICS

• We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-respecting analytics tool.
• Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII).
• Data is strictly aggregate: we only see metrics like total page views, referring websites, and general geographical location by country.

5. THIRD PARTY SERVICES

We maintain minimal dependencies to operate this site:

• Netlify (Hosting) — Provides our static hosting infrastructure. See netlify.com/privacy.
• Resend (Email) — Handles newsletter delivery safely. See resend.com/privacy.
• Umami (Analytics) — Our privacy-first analytics provider.

6. DATA RETENTION

• Newsletter emails are retained securely via Resend until you opt to unsubscribe, at which point delivery halts immediately.
• Aggregate analytics data is retained for 12 months for year-over-year site evaluation.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

• You inherently have the right to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
• You may request complete deletion of your email from our system by contacting us.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

• We maintain a stable privacy posture but will post any operational updates on this page.
